Accommodation That Fits All Needs

Ok, first step is over and it was an easy one- you have chosen Croatia for your holiday getaway. The second question was- where and what in Croatia? A bit more difficult but then again, you have made that decision too. But what kind of accommodation will make a perfect topping to this fabulous and well earned dessert? A hotel, private apartment, room, hostel accommodation, lighthouse, boat, tree house, you name it- we've got it. Of course, that depends of many things, namely your perception of comfort and what kind of accommodation your girlfriend/wife will allow. Of course you know the difference between a hotel room and a hostel room, in anything then in prices, but what are the things that you should consider when deciding?

A hotel- if your vision of a holiday is to be completely served and pampered, then a hotel room is your choice. There is nothing that says „You're on a vacation“ like a tidy room and clean towels in the bathroom while you haven't even moved your little finger.

A hostel- if you're on a tight budget, or just don't feel like spending most of your money on the place to sleep, then a hostel is just what you're looking for. It is cheap, you will meet interesting new people and probably feel like you haven't left the beach club when you get back from partying. Being young and adventurous also wouldn't hurt.

A private apartment- If you want to go on a vacation but still feel like home, sit on the terrace till the wee morning hours, have a barbecue and cook your favourite recipes to your friends, then book yourself a private apartment. The choice is vast and the options numerous. And besides, what's the better way to visit a country than to feel like a true citizen of the town of your choice?

Lighthouse, boat, tree house, ok...we'll stop at that.
The point is, like in many things in life, what you'll make out of your vacation is entirely up to you and your personal inclination, just don't put too much pressure on yourself. Just remember that by choosing an accommodation that will suit your needs, you are half way there!
